Modern Family: The Musical Auditions

Yes, Modern Family: The Musical is getting close to having our auditions! We, as a directing team are so excited to be casting YOU (yes, YOU) in the PERFECT ROLE!!! For Auditions, you will need to prepare a 60 second song, we would prefer a musical theatre song, and karaoke style. You will be auditioning in groups of five, in front of the group of five and the directors. When you are not auditioning, you will be in the "waiting room" also known as the lobby. The Directors are planning for each group to take about 10-15 minutes, each person will take 1 minute, 1x5=5 minutes, plus a SMALL dance audition (NOTHING to worry about) = 10 minutes total, and possibly another activity. The order of auditions is basically, those who come to the audition place first, auditions first and then the last, auditions last. When: Friday, April 17 from 4:00 - 6:30 pm

We are thinking that Auditions will last until approximately 5:00 and then certain people will be asked to stay until 6:30pm. If you would like to be on Tech Crew, please do sign up as well and write what you would like to help out with (Note: We NEED lots of set work). Here are the possible Tech Jobs:

SETS - The Sets Committee will be building lots of sets and we need hard working people and strong people, this committee needs a Head and/or an Assistant.

PROPS - The Props Committee will be doing less work then the Sets Committee and you can be on both. Most of the props will be real life stuff, because Modern Family acts like an actual family. Needs a head.

COSTUMES - The Costumes Committee won't do any Special Costumes, and it will be mostly real casual clothing with SOME exceptions, needs a head.

MAKEUP - The Makeup Committee will be working with just basic makeup and some Old Age Makeup, Glamour Style Makeup, SOME specialty makeup, could use a head.

TECH - The Tech Committee consists of people working on Sound, Lights, Mics, etc. This committee will need to work with FAST mic changes. Needs a head, and a possible Assistant.
